Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Limited Facilities Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and the public. Pay Rate: $22.83 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing visitors, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
