• Prepare accurate reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Monitoring in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $24.90 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transit facilities and surrounding property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response procedures as directed.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited activity, and maintain a professional presence in a public-facing government transit environment.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions, following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
