Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Guard to patrol transit facilities in San Jose, CA. You will deliver customer service, deter unauthorized activity, and report on observations during shifts.

Qualifications include a guard card or license preferred and CPR preferred; must be 18+ for unarmed roles. Full-time schedule includes overnight hours and weekend coverage.

• Maintain accurate reports and logs for incidents, patrols, and observations.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide courteous assistance to passengers, employees, and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.83 / Hour

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit employees, passengers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, requesting additional assistance and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
