Job summary

Allied Universal in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Alarm Panel Response) to protect patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location and other client sites.

You will monitor access, conduct regular patrols, respond to alarms and incidents with professional judgment, and document activities while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the healthcare location, parking areas, entrances, and common spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts or responders.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports.

Pay Rate: $17.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the healthcare location, including parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and common spaces, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management procedures in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
