Job summary

Allied Universal in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Entry Level Security Officer - Patrol to monitor healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and assist patients, staff and visitors. This full-time, day-shift position offers on-site work and an hourly pay rate of $17.01, with opportunities to learn, grow and earn through our Smart Tools and Perks program.

You'll perform patrols, manage access points, respond to incidents, and complete clear reports, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, team members, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking lots, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with direction, access-control procedures, and policy compliance as assigned.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Entry Level Patrol in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
