Job summary

Allied Universal in Redford, MI is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol to safeguard clients across automotive locations. You will monitor, patrol, manage access control, and respond to incidents with clear communication and strong customer service.

You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations, and join a team that values integrity and a people-first culture. This role requires 18+ and a high school diploma, with alarm panel and security experience

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, perimeter locations, access points, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to the location in accordance with site procedures, including verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, including patrol findings, incidents, and access-related information.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol in Redford, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
