Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control in Sacramento, CA. You will serve clients across utilities and other industries, perform routine patrols, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour. You will provide excellent customer service, follow site procedures, document activity, and coordinate with site contacts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers while following site procedures.
• Conduct patrols of facilities, grounds, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor restricted areas, verify credentials, and document activity per policy.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
