Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Springfield, OH to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other venues. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist visitors, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety and policies.

The role is full-time with shift-based daytime to evening hours. Qualifications include minimum age 18, HS diploma, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with law enforcement, emergency responders, property representatives, and members of the public as needed.
