Allied Universal in Springfield, OH is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time - Roaming Patrol. As an unarmed officer, you will provide customer service, monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with shoppers and staff.

Pay is $19.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and life insurance. Schedule includes day and evening shifts to cover a multi-day workweek.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include: 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, drug screening, licensing as required by law, and a valid driver's license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by following site-specific policies and safety procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
