Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required; driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site personnel.
• Assist with directions and non-emergency requests, communicating professionally with customers and site contacts.

As a Security Officer - Days - Full Time in Springfield, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with professionalism. You will observe and report conditions, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with non-emergency requests, and communicating professionally with customers and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
