Job summary

Allied Universal in Ladson, SC is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) for a full-time shift. You will monitor facilities, patrol the site, control access, assist employees and visitors, and respond to alarms to maintain a safe environment. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to work a daytime to evening schedule. CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, perimeter, and restricted-access areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control issues or unusual activity to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
