Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Unarmed) in Chattanooga, TN. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors while upholding site security procedures.

The role is full-time with a schedule rotating Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Allied Universal promotes growth, training, and benefits as part of a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed positions where applicable.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor/delivery authorization.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per established protocols.
• Document patrols and incidents and communicate updates to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
