Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Credential Control in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate clearly, and support a secure, welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization before permitting access to designated facilities, yards, docks, and restricted areas.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for vehicles and pedestrians, maintain accurate access logs, and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and operational areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
