Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed TWIC Patrol. In this role you will safeguard client facilities, conduct armed patrols of utilities and perimeter areas, and respond to incidents with calm, professional communication.

Requirements include at least 1 year of armed security or related experience, a TSA-issued TWIC, an armed guard card or license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, contractors, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
