Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Documentation in New York, NY. You will safeguard clients across government and other facilities, performing unarmed patrols, monitoring entrances, and maintaining a visible, welcoming presence.

You will deliver excellent customer service, report incidents, and coordinate with site staff to uphold safety and policy standards. The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least one year of security experience, and a high school

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, entrances, and perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor activity within the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
