Position is Full Time with a pay rate of $18.35 per hour. Schedule includes 06:00–14:00 shifts Monday through Friday, with potential for additional days as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ months security experience.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries per access procedures.
• Verify identification, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals appropriately.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and help deter incidents through a visible, professional presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site access procedures and reporting requirements.
• Verify identification, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
