Allied Universal®, North America\'s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Screening Attendant in Somerset, NJ. You will screen individuals and/or items, provide professional customer service, and help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment.

Pay is $18.00 per hour with a Part Time schedule (Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM; Thu 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM). Minimum requirements include being 18+ for unarmed roles and a high school diploma, with background

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.

• Monitor entry/exit points and report unauthorized access, irregular conditions, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly per site protocols and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site access procedures, including verifying identification and maintaining visitor records.
• Monitor entry and exit points, observe activity around assigned areas, and report unauthorized access attempts, irregular conditions, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
