Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer at a financial institution location in Sterling, VA. You will screen people and belongings, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering professional service to employees and visitors.

• Screen individuals and belongings using established procedures and screening equipment, reporting items or policy violations.
• Verify identifications and authorized access for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate per site procedures.
• Maintain logs and documentation of screening activities and unusual observations.

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using established procedures and screening equipment, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for employees, contractors, and visitors entering controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of screening activities, visitor access, incidents, and unusual observations while helping to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
