Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Checkpoint at a Warehouse in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help deter incidents through a visible, attentive presence. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with established access-control and screening requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect items as authorized, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
