As a Security Guard Screening Specialist at a Warehouse in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help support a controlled environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and items, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, maintain clear communication, and follow established procedures while representing our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or personal property in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including business operations and perimeter locations, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
