Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Reception Operations in Washington, DC to greet guests, manage access, and support a secure hotel environment.

You will monitor the lobby, verify credentials, document incidents, and coordinate with hotel staff and emergency responders to ensure guest safety.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen is a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access to the hotel lobby and front desk area, verify visitor credentials, report unusual activity to hotel personnel.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, visitor records, and shift reports per site procedures.
• Support a welcoming hotel environment by giving directions and coordinating with hotel staff and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Operations in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a hotel location, you will provide a welcoming presence for guests, assist with access control and visitor inquiries, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the hotel lobby and front desk area, verify visitor credentials as required, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate hotel personnel.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, visitor records, and shift reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Support a welcoming hotel environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and coordinating with hotel staff and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
