Job summary

Allied Universal is recruiting a Security Officer at our Lenexa, KS location to greet visitors, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service in a technology-driven setting. You will support a welcoming, professional environment while addressing security concerns and communicating with staff and guests.

The role is Full Time at the Lenexa site, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour and a schedule that includes overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required by employment policy.
• Access control and badge procedures experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and reception records.
• Receive and direct visitors, deliveries, and calls in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of activity in the lobby and reception area.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate observations, access concerns, and incidents to appropriate personnel and complete required reports and documentation.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
