Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Front Desk in Kearney, NE to welcome visitors, manage access, and uphold a secure, professional environment. This full-time role supports multiple client sites across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors and emphasizes responsive communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, verifying credentials, handling registrations, and responding calmly to incidents while maintaining accurate logs.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk and maintain a professional, welcoming presence while monitoring access to the location.
• Greet visitors, verify authorization, manage visitor registration, and issue or collect access credentials per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns as needed.
• Monitor front desk communications, receive deliveries, and maintain logs/records of visitor activity and security-related events.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tue 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Wed 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Staff the front desk and maintain a professional, welcoming presence while monitoring access to the location.
• Greet visitors, verify authorization, manage visitor registration, and issue or collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor front desk communications, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and records related to visitor activity and security‑related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
