Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time Patrol Systems) in Herndon, VA. The role involves guarding facilities, patrolling areas, controlling access, responding to alarms, and delivering strong customer service with a focus on safety and teamwork.

You will work a night shift schedule at an aerospace/defense site, supporting access control, incident reporting, and efficient badge procedures while upholding site policies and company ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Systems in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help to deter incidents, respond to alarms, and support access control and badge procedures. Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
