Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for full-time patrol systems in Herndon, VA. You will monitor and protect aerospace/defense facilities, perform routine patrols, manage access points, and respond calmly to incidents while upholding site policies.

Responsibilities include documenting activity, communicating shift updates, and delivering excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate site contacts and responders.
• Prepare clear activity reports and shift communications in line with site requirements.

Security Officer Full Time Patrol Systems – Herndon, VA

you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help to deter incidents, respond to alarms, and support access control and badge procedures. Pay Rate: $21.05 / Hour

• Tue 12:30 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 12:30 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:30 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:30 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
