Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed with a DoD Secret clearance to safeguard clients in a defense-focused setting. You will monitor, patrol and deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

This role requires an armed guard card, active clearance, and compliance with licensing. You will work a night-oriented schedule as part of a team that values integrity, reliability and community safety.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required.
• Pepper spray and handcuffing certifications preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, structured way.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for entry to controlled areas.
• Document observations and incidents, and communicate with leadership and site representatives.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. Pay Rate: $28.33 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized entry to controlled areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
