Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Security to protect clients at a commercial real estate site. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor entrances, deter incidents, and provide friendly customer service to tenants and staff during evening shifts.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay rate: $17.50 per hour. Schedule: Tue-Sat, 6:00 PM–2:00 AM, following site procedures and documenting patrols and incidents for review by leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience preferred.
• Guard Card/license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Background checks and drug screen per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and access points.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow site procedures.
• Monitor access to assigned areas and report unauthorized activity to site management.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in logs and reports.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Security in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized access, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
