Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in Richmond, VA. The role involves full-time patrol duties, unarmed security, and providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications site. The schedule runs Tue–Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

We seek candidates with a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid is preferred. Responsibilities include monitoring access, reporting incidents, and maintaining detailed shift

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document observations.
• Complete detailed activity and shift reports and communicate information to leadership.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and access-control issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
