Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond to alarms or unusual activity. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Age Requirement

• All candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101). Proof of age may be required during the application process.

Driver's License

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). A copy of the driver's license should be submitted with the application.

Educational Verification

• Applicants are required to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED (C137). Acceptable documentation includes a copy of the diploma, GED certificate, or official transcripts.

Experience Requirements

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and deactivating access badges.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Candidates must demonstrate experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alarm events.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of effectively addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements

• Applicants must be able to lift up to 20 lbs (B208). This requirement is essential for certain positions that involve physical tasks.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and security‑related activities in accurate, timely reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
