Allied Universal in Galveston, TX is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer (Driver) to protect residents and property. The role includes routine patrols, access control, and responsive incident handling while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and follow site procedures for entry, parking, and access control.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly notify appropriate personnel of security-related concerns.
