Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Patrol) in Teterboro, NJ to protect clients across aviation facilities and offices. You will provide customer service, perform patrols, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualified candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, strong customer service, and access control experience. Background checks and drug screenings are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, flight crews, and personnel by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aviation facilities, hangars, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and contact appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate observations to leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Teterboro, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an aviation and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, flight crews, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aviation facilities, hangars, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
