Allied Universal® in Secaucus, NJ is hiring a Security Guard Patrol Access Control for a full-time unarmed position. You will patrol, monitor, deter incidents, control access, and deliver customer service at a technology, media, and telecom site.

You will work Mon-Sun 8am-4pm with a $20/hour pay rate. The role requires 2+ years security experience, ability to use computer/ tablet, and a valid guard card or license where required. Allied Universal emphasizes teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, escalating as site procedures dictate.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
