Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Operations in NAPA, CA. You will monitor and safeguard campuses, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

In this role you will conduct unarmed patrols, manage access points, respond calmly to emergencies, and report findings to site leadership. A background in security and a high school diploma are required, CPR preferred, and a valid driver's license may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are required by policy.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus facilities, residences, parking, and perimeters to identify hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and campus information; report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, culinary education spaces, residence areas, parking locations, and campus perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, access concerns, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general campus information, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
