Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for an unarmed patrol role at a La Crescenta, CA site. You will safeguard students, staff, and visitors while performing patrols, controlling access, and delivering excellent customer service in a school environment.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of background checks and a drug screen as required by law. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Assistance in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping maintain an orderly educational environment.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
