Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Office Space Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will monitor and safeguard clients, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a professional presence across a commercial real estate site.

You will perform foot/vehicle patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document observations in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and report unusual activity to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete incident reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while assisting occupants and visitors, escalating security issues per established procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Office Space Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and complete incident reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing directions, assistance, and information to occupants and visitors, escalating security-related issues according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
