Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Full Time Highrise Building Patrol. You will monitor the premises, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities include routine unarmed patrols, observing access points, reporting incidents, and responding calmly to emergencies while following site procedures. Prior security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer or tablet and document events.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

As a Security Officer Full Time Highrise Building Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.


• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.


• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.


• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
