Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for a full-time patrol role in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, conduct regular patrols of the property, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

You will complete daily reports and collaborate with site personnel to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. A high school diploma, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
