Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a morning shift in North Chicago, IL. You will patrol facilities, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s integrity and values.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions; background check will be conducted.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.
• Background investigations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report suspicious activity to site contacts.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain activity logs for leadership review.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Mornings in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
