Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for full-time morning shifts in Chicago, IL. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access, and delivering excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers at a busy retail location.

You will respond to incidents professionally, communicate clearly, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents. Requires 18+ (21+ for armed) and strong reliability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and involve appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of retail common areas and other designated areas.
• Monitor access to designated property areas and assist with directing visitors and deliveries.
• Document incidents and patrol activities with clear, timely reports and communicate information to site management.

As a Security Guard - Full Time - Mornings in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to designated property areas, verify authorized entry as required, and assist with directing visitors, deliveries, and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and maintenance or security‑related concerns through clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
