• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to site personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Overnights in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily drive throughout assigned areas to help deter incidents, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and use technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
