Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Logistics in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen incoming visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures and direct them to appropriate check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
