Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Hospital Morgue Access in Birmingham, AL. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide top-tier service to patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access-control procedures, and the reporting of suspicious activity or facility concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with healthcare staff, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Morgue Access in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while helping patients, visitors, and staff feel welcomed and supported.
