Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Badge Verification Patrol in Birmingham, AL. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, assist with access controls, and help patients, visitors, and staff with professional, courteous service.

Position is full time with a pay rate of $12.92 per hour. Applicants must meet minimum requirements, including a high school diploma or equivalent and age criteria, and pass background and drug

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A background check is required by law and a drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and adherence to access procedures.
• Document incidents and observations accurately and communicate information to site leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
