• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures and report violations.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
