Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Access in Aiken, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, support access control functions, and assist with sensitive locations such as the morgue. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while collaborating with hospital staff and visitors. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security‑related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security‑related experience.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
