Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Aiken, SC to provide reliable security at a healthcare facility. The role emphasizes fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling flexible income growth.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The position requires at least one year of security or law enforcement experience, 18+ years, and hospital vaccination compliance; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Minimum one year of law enforcement experience, or two years security supervisor/manager, or three years security experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance involving patients, visitors, staff, and facility operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Must have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
