Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider in San Diego, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Coordinator. You will manage access, greet guests, and support a secure environment at an education site.

You will handle incidents calmly, document visitor records, and work closely with campus staff. This role offers full-time hours with a union-like, team-focused culture and strong development opportunities.

Competenze

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Coordinator in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in an education setting, you will be a welcoming, visible presence, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will manage access, greet and assist guests, monitor security-related activity, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor the front desk area, greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials as required, and maintain visitor records in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and location representatives while providing a professional presence at the assigned front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
