Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Front Desk) with a Secret DoD clearance for our San Diego, CA location. You will welcome visitors, control access, monitor security systems and provide professional customer service at a leading aerospace and defense site.

Day-to-day duties include staffing the front desk, verifying credentials, maintaining logs, and responding to incidents per site protocols.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Employment may require a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace/defense location.
• Staff the front desk and manage access by greeting visitors, verifying ID and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, route calls, and communicate site access requirements, directions, and procedures professionally.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site-specific reporting and escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitors, deliveries, incidents and front-desk activities; communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Staff the front desk and manage access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, and communicate site access requirements, directions, and procedures in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitors, deliveries, incidents, and other front-desk activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
