Qualifications

• Background investigation will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical/petrochemical location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials and documentation per site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-control records; issue and recover badges or credentials and report discrepancies as directed.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned points and perimeter locations to detect unusual activity or security concerns.

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization in Port Isabel, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical/petrochemical location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, issue and recover authorized badges or credentials, and report discrepancies through established procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations while observing for unusual activity, unauthorized entry, or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
