Allied Universal in Port Lavaca, TX is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Patrol to safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

This full-time role requires a TWIC, ability to lift up to 20 lbs, a high school diploma, and a background check. Driving duties are involved; this night-shift position offers a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs and pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions; driving duties may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor and control access at a chemical/petrochemical location by verifying credentials and directing personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with professional composure and notify relevant contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs and incident reports in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Port Lavaca, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor entry, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Preferred qualification: ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Preferred qualification: possess a guard card or license.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Preferred qualification: comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
